Two marine hires at MFB

London UK-based law firm MFB has announced  two new hires to bolster its ship finance and admiralty offerings. Recently recruited James Foley-Comer specializes in commercial shipping and yacht transactional work. He joined MFB in September after 12 years at Stephenson Harwood LLP in London where he trained and qualified into the Ship Finance group in 2009. His practice has a particular focus advising on syndicated and bilateral debt financings, construction contracts, sale and purchases, leasing’s and restructurings, ownership structuring and registration across the commercial shipping and yacht sectors.

Recently recruited Jake Bond is a Master Mariner with more than 13 years sea-going experience. He has worked as an officer on commercial merchant vessels, in the US auxiliary fleet supporting US coalition efforts and in the offshore oil and gas industry. He has seagoing experience on product tankers, LNG tankers, offshore loading tankers, ammunition carriers, break-bulk heavy lift, drillships, various offshore vessels and a fish processor. He is also a qualified Dynamic Positioning Operator with the Nautical Institute. Bond is currently undertaking his training contract at MFB.
