Denmark-based Vestas Wind Systems A/S has confirmed that last week it was hit by a cyber-attack. The Danish company said that data was compromised, but that there were no signs that turbines being operated by its customers had been impacted.
Vestas shut down some of its systems after the incident on November 19th. The company has not yet provided details on exactly what happened, and declined to say if it was a ransomware attack.
On Monday it said that manufacturing, construction and service teams had been able to continue operations and that company had started a gradual and controlled reopening of all IT systems.
