MSC Zoe lost more containers than had been thought

Container ship MSC Zoe berthed in Bremerhaven late on February 5th and the next day it was discovered that she lost some 20% more containers than originally thought, with 345 being missing, rather than 291. MSC informed Dutch public works and water management department Rijkswaterstaat of the increase after a complete inventory of the remaining containers that had been removed from the ship in Bremerhaven and Gdansk.

The final report on the missing containers is expected to be released next week, Rijkswaterstaat said, noting that the estimate of the number of containers that had hazardous substances in them remained unchanged.
