Lloyd’s Marine Under-35s Insurance Group hosted an introduction to the Marine and Energy market day for 90 recent starters to the market at Trinity House on Thursday October 26th. The course took delegates on a tour of the Marine and Energy world, featuring speakers on Hull, Yachts, Marine Liability, Cargo, Energy, Specie, Claims and Legal.
The day also featured an underwriting/broking workshop which examined the developing role of electronic placement in underwriting and broking.
There was also a claims scenario workshop, where the delegates evaluated the implications of a hypothetical marine claim, using information provided during the day.
The Marine U35 Insurance Group is a non-profit organization, comprising more than 1,000 young members from all areas of the marine and energy insurance market, and is represented by a committee of 15 members, who organize lectures, educational visits and social events for our members.
