Energy, Industrial & Utility Risk Solutions (EIURS), a division of specialty programme administrator DUAL Commercial, has added a marine energy unit to its Energy Division. It will be headed by Michael Jacobs.
The Marine Energy unit will focus on what DUAL described as “the underserved middle market segment”.
The liability lines of business offered are: marine general liability, ship repairers, terminal operators, stevedores, wharfingers bumbershoot (up to $5m capacity), marine employers liability, hull and P&I.
DUAL said that EIURS would “be writing on behalf of an A XV carrier” (greater than $2bn). The programme, dedicated to wholesalers, will be US-nationwide.
DUAL has 12 underwriting offices throughout North America that underwrite and manage insurance programmes. The North America operation is a part of the DUAL Group, an international underwriting agency and Lloyd’s international coverholder. DUAL is the underwriting division of Hyperion Insurance Group.
DUAL Commercial CEO Jon Beckham said that DUAL was highly committed to the expansion of its Energy Division and said that the new Marine Energy unit was a natural fit for the company.
Hyperion is a global employee-owned insurance group comprising broking divisions Howden and RKH, and underwriting division DUAL.
