Egypt reminds agencies of requirements re arrival from countries affected by vector-borne diseases

Egypt’s Ministry of Health has reminded Port Said Chamber of Shipping that, in light of the Ministerial Circulars regarding the global epidemiological situation, Shipping Agencies should be reminded that ships coming from countries infested with disease vectors were obliged to bring a certificate stating that the spraying process for disease vectors had been completed before departing from the infected port and before arriving the Egyptian ports, in accordance with the International Health Regulations for the year 2005.

Head of the Health Surveillance Department – Director of Quarantine Department -Director of preventive management Director General of the Health Affairs Directorate, said that “therefore, we ask you to notify all shipping agencies to announce to the owners of the ships that operate these vessels coming from countries affected by disease vectors”.
