Britannia’s Managers Tindall Riley have acquired Cornes P&I Co (CPI) from its parent, Cornes & Co Limited. The acquisition will complete on April 3rd 2017, on which date CPI will change its name to Tindall Riley (Britannia) Japan Ltd. “For many years Britannia’s Japanese Members have benefited from the highly professional service provided by the Club’s exclusive correspondent CPI”, the Club said, adding that Japanese shipowners had long formed an important part of the membership of Britannia, which established a branch office in Tokyo in 1989.
TR(B) Japan will continue to assist all of Britannia’s Members in Japan on P&I and FD&D matters. “The acquisition also gives the opportunity to review and potentially widen services provided to Britannia’s Japanese Members”, the Club said on Wednesday.
