The US has imposed sanctions against six more tankers which the US said were trying to break the embargo on oil transportation to and from Venezuela. Four of the tankers have connections to Ukraine, one to Russia and one to Venezuela.
Three of the ships – the Balita (IMO 9176773), Domani (IMO 9041057) and Freedom (IMO 9018464) – are operated by Fides Ship Management in Ukraine.
Crude oil tanker Legacy (IMO 9192258) was operated by Fides Ship Management for a period in 2020 before being taken over by Panthea Marine and was now operated by Russian company Berylicious.
The other two vessels to be sanctioned were crude oil tanker Maksim Gorky (IMO 9590008), which is under the management of Transocean Shipping in Moscow, but owned by Venezuelan Govt INEA, and crude oil tanker Sierra (IMO 9147447), which is operated by Rustanker.

1996-built, Cameroon-flagged, 79,592 gt Domani is owned by Alfreda Shipmanagement Co care of Fides Ship Management LLC of Odessa, Ukraine.
1993-built, Cameroon-flagged, 79,979 gt Freedom is owned by Oliver Navigation Co care of Fides Ship Management LLC of Odessa, Ukraine.
2000-built, 57,680 gt Legacy is owned by Panthe Marine Ltd care of manager Berylicious Ltd of Krymsk, Russia.
2013-built, Russia-flagged, 167,572 gt Maksim Gorky is owned by the Venezuelan government and managed by Transocean Shipping Co of Moscow, Russia.
1998-built, Russia-flagged, 57,148 gt Sierra is owned and managed by Rustanker LLC of Novorossiysk, Krasnodarskiy kray, Russia.
