Tsimis leaves American Club

George Tsimis has recently resigned from the American Club’s management company Shipowners’ Claims Bureau (SCB) to pursue new interests in the shipping industry, CEO Joe Hughes said on Wednesday August 22nd.

Tsimis had been serving American Club for more than 16 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of SCB, in which capacity he occupied the roles of Global Claims Director and General Counsel,

Hughes said that Tsimis left SCB with the sincere thanks of his colleagues, and of the Club’s Board, for his notable contribution to the Club’s affairs over his years of service, both in the US and in Greece.

Donald R Moore will succeed Tsimis as Global Claims Director. An average adjuster by training, with seagoing experience, Moore has “commanded a wide brief of P & I and related matters during his 25 years at SCB”.
