Semi submersible oil rig Transocean Winner, which grounded two weeks ago was refloated at 10 pm on Monday in Dalmore Bay, Shetlands. It has been stabilised and resumed its journey in the early hours of Tuesday morning Transocean Winner was towed to Broad Bay, on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis by two tugs, where was scheduled to arrive Tuesday night local time, August 23rd. A 1000-metre exclusion zone was in place around the Transocean Winner for the duration of the passage from Dalmore Bay to Broad Bay. Transocean Winner was under tow and unstaffed when it encountered severe weather conditions on August 7. Two of the four diesel fuel tanks on the rig appeared to have been breached.
