Tindall Riley (Britannia) names Ridgway as non-exec chairman

From January 1st 2017 John Ridgway will join TR(B), the managers of Britannia, as non-executive chairman. The appointment requires regulatory approval, which Britannia expects to receive within a few weeks. John Ridgway joined BP in 1971 and remained with the company until he retired in 2015, with his last seven years at the company being spent as CEO of BP Shipping.

Mr Ridgway is a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology as well as a Chartered Marine Technologist. Previous non-executive posts include being the Chairman of both the Oil Companies International Marine Forum and the Marine Preservation Association and being an independent director of The Britannia Steam Ship Insurance Association Limited, the UK Chamber of Shipping and the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation Ltd.
