Three Indonesian fishermen missing off Philippines

Three Indonesian fishermen have gone missing in waters off the southern Philippines, a local military official has told Agence France Presse.

The three Indonesians went missing on Wednesday in waters bordering the Philippines and Malaysia in an area where Islamic criminal/terrorist

Group Abu Sayaaf has been active. “They are missing but we don’t have confirmation yet on who took them and where they were taken,” said regional military commander Major General Carlito Galvez.

The missing fishermen’s’ boat was reportedly found crewless with its engine running.
