In a brief update, Swedish Club has said that, against a background of “unprecedented business disruption”, it had concluded a successful renewals year 2020/2021.
Owners’ P&I reached 56m gt, up by 6.2m gt year on year and an all-time high for the Club. The combined gt for owners’ and charterers’ entries reached 88m gt, also a record.
Managing director Lars Rhodin said that “the Club is proud to have achieved its highest ever retention rate of members at renewal. As a mutual, we thank our members and business partners for this vote of confidence in the Club and how we do business together. The last 12 months have presented us all with unprecedented challenges, and we have worked hard to continue to provide the very best levels of service and support to our community. This result is a testament to that commitment.”
