Skipper of sunk catamaran sentenced to six months

The owner and skipper of the catamaran carrying Chinese tourists that sank January 28th have been charged at the Sessions Court in Kota Kinabalu with causing death by negligence. Skipper Sharezza Salian pleaded guilty to the charge. No plea was recorded from owner Leong Vin Jee. Judge Ainul Shahrin Mohamed sentenced

Sharezza to six months in jail. Leong was asked to return on Monday as he needed a Chinese interpreter.
