Shell-chartered tanker detained near Philadelphia

A Royal Dutch Shell-chartered vessel has been blocked by US marshals while carrying 600,000 barrels of crude oil to the Monroe Energy refinery just outside of Philadelphia. The US Marshals Service said that the vessel – Malta-flagged Aframax the Advantage Avenue – had been blocked from leaving port in connection with a civil court order. It will however be allowed to discharge its cargo.

The order was brought by PSARA Energy in federal court in Pennsylvania

The case is said to involve multiple defendants.
