Russian ports to disinfect ships arriving from virus-hit countries

Because of Covid-19, Russia has ordered the mandatory disinfection of ships arriving from Iran, Italy and South Korea at the Black Sea ports of Novorossiisk and Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka, reports Reuters.

Russian consumer safety watchdog Rospotrebnadzor ordered port agents “to arrange the disinfection of ships arriving from these countries before the border is opened” in the city of Novorossiisk, a document seen by Reuters showed. The order was issued by a branch of the association

It was not immediately clear how the vessels would be disinfected.
