North P&I Club’s Tony Baker steps down after 14 years

After 14 years as Director of Loss Prevention at North P&I Club, Tony Baker, will step down from the role on June 30th.

Baker joined North’s loss prevention department in 1999 and took over running the department in 2004.

North’s loss prevention department now consists of 15 mariners and executives, “one of the largest loss prevention teams in any of the International Group of P&I Clubs”, the Club said.

Baker will return to the business in August 2018 on a part time basis working on a range of loss prevention projects. The new head of loss prevention will be current Deputy Director, Colin Gillespie, who joined North in 2006. Alvin Forster and Simon MacLeod are both being promoted to the roles of Deputy Director.
