New regulations on oil spill response requirements in Honduras are postponed

The Honduran oil spill response regulations, which required the nomination of an approved oil spill response organisation (OSRO), were originally scheduled to enter into force on January 1st this year , subsequently deferred until January 15th. Citing local correspondents Agencia Mivigar, North P&I Club has informed its members that the requirements would not now come into force on January 15th, and had been suspended indefinitely. North said that it would provide further updates when they became known.
