New push to retake Hodeidah, says Yemeni government

The Yemen government, which is backed by a Saudi-led coalition is launching a renewed assault to take the major port city of Hodeidah, it claimed last week. Hodeidah has been held by Iran-backed Houthi rebels since the beginning of the Yemeni civil war. Yemeni government officials told reporters that armoured vehicles have been delivered from the UAE ahead of the attack, while additional troops were said to have been brought from Sudan, including Sudanese soldiers.
