Loss adjuster and claims management company Cunningham Lindsey Nederland (CLN) has launched a new team that will focus on offshore renewable wind energy. The company said that renewable wind energy, both onshore and offshore, was experiencing increased global demand and growth. An increasing number of new wind farms were being built off the Dutch coast, creating new demands for the insurance industry. Improvements in engineering and financing were also boosting the renewable industry. Cunningham Lindsey said that new risks which insurers needed to consider included the entire chain of designing, manufacturing, building and operating on and offshore wind farms.
The new Cunningham Lindsey Netherlands (CLN) team consists of Michiel Groote Schaarsberg (experienced in material science and technical loss adjuster), Morten Jensen (more than 25 years’ experience in wind power related loss adjusting and consulting) and Erik van den Bos (coordination and civil engineering loss adjuster). There will also be a close collaboration between the team and Cunningham Lindsey Denmark.
