More than 200 ships have now used Black Sea Corridor

A total of 218 ships with 4.85m tonnes have now left Ukrainian ports to transit the Black Sea Corridor to the Mediterranean, the Ukrainian infrastructure ministry said at the weekend. Eight ships carrying 131,300 tonnes of agricultural products left on Saturday September 24th and seven more ships carrying 146,200 tonnes departed on Sunday

“On September 25th … seven ships with 146,200 tonnes of agricultural produce for countries in Africa, Asia and Europe left the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi (Yuzhne)” the ministry said.

Before the war began on February 24th Ukraine shipped up to 6m tonnes of grain per month.
