Tug SD Seahorse (IMO 9448190) became disabled and went adrift following a main engine failure in the Black Sea during the evening of June 20th, while en route from Novrossiysk to Varna. The crew tried and failed to repair the engine, and a tug was called to tow her to Sevastopol. On June 21st SD Seahorse was safely berthed at Ezerovo in the port of Varna. 2008-built, Russia-flagged, 483 gt SD Seahorse is owned by SD Seahorse Ltd care of manager Rosnefteflot JSC of Moscow, Russia. General cargo ship Heyn (IMO 9423671) lost main engine power and pitch and allided with the Goole south pier on the River Ouse, shortly after midnight on June 20th, while en route from Kokkola to Goole. There were seven crew members on board. The vessel sustained damage to her bulbous bow and ran aground. No pollution or water ingress was reported. A tug was called. The vessel was carrying 2,556 tonnes of feed phosphate, along with 44 tonnes of gas oil and 1.86 cbm lube oil. A fire erupted on the cargo deck of tanker Jose Maria Morelos II (IMO 9396086) during the morning of June 21st during a hose connection procedure at the Salina Cruz Refinery Terminal, Mexico. An incidental spark was said to be the cause of the fire.
