Indonesia: polio vaccine compulsory for arrivals from the Philippines

Britannia Club noted that it had earlier advised Members that all Health Offices at Indonesian sea and air ports were directed to coordinate with immigration authorities to ensure that everyone arriving from the Philippines has had a polio vaccination, evidenced by an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICV).

The Club said that it had now received confirmation that this regulation also applies to ships arriving from the Philippines with non-Filipino crew. Each person on board without the required ICV certificate would be given the polio vaccination on arrival in Indonesia, for which there would be a charge.
