Henriksen named new chief claims officer at Norwegian Hull Club

Bergen-headquartered marine and offshore energy insurance provider Norwegian Hull Club’s Deputy Chief Claims Officer (DCCO) Rune Henriksen will take over from Åge Solberg as Chief Claims Officer (CCO) from October 1st. The Club said that Solberg had chosen to step down from the position he has held for nine years to focus on what is ‘closest to his heart’ – a more operational workday.

Henriksen has nearly 20 years’ experience in the Claims department of NHC, and he was appointed to the DCCO role in 2016. He joined The Club in 2007 and since 2009 has headed its Global Energy & Specialty claims section. Rune is also CCO of The Club’s renewables-focused subsidiary NIORD – a role he will continue to hold alongside his new position.

Solberg will continue his career at The Club in the role of Senior Claims Handler & Adjuster, as part of The Club’s Norway & Asia Claims team. He said: “I look forward to a more operational workday and to work closely with our clients in active knowledge sharing in a truly exciting time as they and we adapt to the risks, opportunities and technologies of tomorrow.”
