Craneship Sanne A managed to open the gate to 82-metre floating dock Nordsøkedralen in Hirtshals, northern Denmark on Tuesday August 21st, thus permitting the extraction of previously trapped fish carrier Hardhaus (IMO 9263526).
The trawler was being inspected for damage, which was feared to be extensive, as the trawler’s bottom valves were open during her stay in the dock, resulting in water penetrated the engine room.
Floating dock Nordsøkedralen has also been extensively damaged. The trawler has been berthed at the quay in the East basin 2 in Hirtshals, while the investigation of the extent of the damage took place.
The work was now concentrating on stabilizing the floating dock and getting it completely back on even keel so that it could also be investigated for damage. The floating dock was thought likely to be out of commission for some time. 2003-built, Norway-flagged, 1,936 gt Hardhaus is owned by Hardhaus AS and managed by Mogster I, both of Bekkjarvik, Norway. It is entered with Gard P&I (Bermuda) on behalf of Hardhaus AS.
