Globe Underwriting names Dymond as head of marine and transport

Managing general agent Globe Underwriting, the UK-based managing general agent part of the BGC Insurance Group, has named David Dymond to the role of head of marine and transport, effective immediately. The announcement follows the retirement of Peter Rogers.

Dymond had held the role of head of underwriting for marine and transport at Globe for three years, working alongside Rogers. Before joining Globe, Dymond worked as regional underwriting manager at Tokio Marine Kiln. Rogers will remain with Globe until January 2020 to facilitate the transition.

Andrew Wallin, Chief Commercial Officer at BGC Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of Globe Underwriting, said that “we are very fortunate to have benefited from Peter’s expertise. He has been a highly valued member of the team, having been instrumental in establishing and leading Globe’s first-class marine and transport specialism”.

Dymond has more than 34 years of industry experience, and has previously held roles at Lonham Group Ltd, Allianz and International Transport and Maritime Underwriters.
