Disney suspends cruise ship sailings through to July 27th

Walt Disney Co has suspended all new departures on its Disney Cruise Line until July 27th. The company said that guests currently booked on affected cruises would be offered either a credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date, or a full refund.

A “No Sail Order” issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention means that cruises in the US have been banned until July 24th.

CEO Robert Chapek said earlier this month that the cruise ship business would probably be the last of its travel-oriented businesses to reopen.
