Death toll from Ockhi rises to 39; 100s of fishermen rescued

The death toll from Cyclone Ockhi on India’s western coast has risen to 39, with 167 fishermen still missing at sea To date more than 600 fishermen have been rescued after 800 fishermen from Tamil Nadu and Kerala were caught up in the storm. Most of these returned to shore in Maharashtra, well to the north of their home ports. A further 250 fishermen returned to the Lakshadweep Islands.
