CMA CGM says productivity at Spanish ports unaffected by strikes

France-based liner company CMA CGM has said that productivity at Spanish terminals has been unaffected by the ongoing stevedore strikes at Spain’s 39 cargo ports. The dockers want to maintain mandatory unionization of port staff.

Strikes took place on June 5th, 7th and 9th, two of them during “odd hours” and one of them all day. CMA CGM said that further congestion was anticipated.

Meanwhile a new round of strikes has been announced from June 14th, 08:00 until June 16th 08:00. Dockworkers also said that they would be striking at odd hours on June 19th, 21st and 23rd.
