Cambiaso Risso names London team

Expanding insurance broker Cambiaso Risso has boosted its P&I offering with the naming of a London team. The agency said that its P&I business had benefited from the inheritance of P&I know-how from a longtime partnership with the Scandinavian team in CR Nordic, which was added to through the acquisition of Costa Brokers and Fender SA in Greece.

Malcolm Godfrey, Nicola Jones and Nicky Ellis have now become the London team of the business. Malcolm Godfrey has been a leading P&I broker for over three decades. He moves to  CR after 18 years with Arthur J Gallagher. He will be based in the London office and will assist the team to further develop the global P&I book.

Nicola Jones, with more than 20 year’s experience in the field, returns to broking after five years as a Senior Underwriter at Standard Club (now NorthStandard). She will be based in London as Head of P&I UK, with a wider area of responsibilities. She started her career at BMS Harris & Dixon Marine in 2001.

Nicky Ellis joins CR London office as Head of P&I Operations, having previously been at AJ Gallagher.

The London team will join forces with the established P&I teams of CR Group in Norway (CR Nordic), Greece (Fender SA) and the rest offices around the world.

CR recently announced two additions to its Italian P&I team, in the guise of Gianluigi Zanga and Andreina Facello. In January this year it bougth German insurance broker Trident.

Meanwhile, Marco Risso and Mauro Iguera, respectively Chairman and CEO of Cambiaso Risso, announced the project of creating a P&I global division, which will be coordinated by a Committee composed by Stefanos Vardalos (Head), Petter Gustav Meyer, Federico Marsano and Nicola Jones.
