Attempted scam on P&I calls

Britannia Club’s managers have been made aware that a number of brokers have been the victim of criminal computer hacking and that this has resulted in some Members in Taiwan receiving an email purporting to be from brokers, with a letter attached on fake Britannia-branded paper. That fake letter informs Members that the Britannia bank account used for the payment of premium has been changed and requests immediate payment.

Britannia emphasizes that its bank account has not changed.

If Members have received a false email and/or letter as described informing them of a change of Britannia bank account, or should Members be in any doubt as to the bank account into which they are required to pay premium, Britannia has requested that they contact the Managers as soon as possible.
