Arnott Marine relaunches cargo MGA

Arnott Marine has relaunched its cargo MGA, only a year after retrieving the brand from AJ Gallagher, which “inherited” Arnott Marine through its purchase of Giles Group in 2013. Giles had bought Arnott Marine in 2009. Arnott provides H&M, P&I for fishing. Arnott Marine said that it had designed its new cargo product around the needs of the modern independent broker, to enable them to compete against larger brokers.

Backed by Newline Insurance Co – a wholly owned subsidiary of Odyssey Re – the cargo product is designed solely for larger risks that require bigger limits, as well as wine industry clients.

Initially the product offers £10m line-size for transit and storage, but Arnott Marine plans to increase this capacity to £50m for storage risks.
