Antigua says it has found two more Abramovich yachts

Antigua’s government has confirmed that two yachts in its waters, the Halo (IMO 9794537) and support vessel Garcon (IMO 9587051) were linked to UK-sanctioned individual Roman Abramovich. They are the third and fourth yachts to be publicly connected to Abramovich.

The Halo was valued at $40m and the Garcon at $20m. Garcon is designed to carry equipment and spares for a larger megayacht.

The Financial Times obtained confirmation that the government of Antigua and Barbuda had been in contact with British authorities about the status of the vessels, and discussions of the possibility of an asset seizure were ongoing.

Abramovich owns at least two other yachts, the $700m Eclipse and the $600m Solaris, both of which are currently moored in Turkey, where the authorities have so far opted not to enforce Western sanctions on Russia.

2018-built, Bermuda-flagged, 671 gt Halo is owned by Wenham Overseas ltd care of manager Dohle (Private Marine Clients) of Douglas, Isle of Man. As of April 3rd the vessel was moored in English Harbour, Barbuda.

2012-built, Bermuda-flagged, 1,145 gt Garcon is owned by Wenham Overseas Ltd care of manager Dohle (Private Marine Clients) of Douglas, Isle of Man. As of April 3rd the vessel was moored in English Harbour, Barbuda.
