All guests from Diamond Princess have now disembarked

All 2,666 passengers on the cruise ship Diamond Princess (IMO 9228198)had disembarked the vessel as of February 24th. The vessel had been quarantined off Yokohama, Japan, since February 3rd.

Princess Cruises said that it was expecting the final charter aircraft over the next few days. The cruise operator has also given clearance to the crew to be repatriated. All 1,004 crew, predominantly Indonesian and Filipinos, but from more than 40 nations in total, were expected to leave the vessel over the next few days.

Approaching 700 guests and crew were infected, resulting in three deaths so far.

2004-built, UK-flagged, 115,906 gt Diamond Princess is owned by Fairline Shipping Intl Corp care of manager Princess Cruise Lines Ltd of Valencia, California, USA. It is entered with UK Club and with Steamship Mutual.
