Bulk carrier Maestro Diamond was refloated on the evening of October 11th with the help of three tugs. It began moving under its own power to Kalunborg, Denmark, for a survey. The carrier, loaded with 34,000 tons of fertilizer, ran around late at night on October 7th southeast of Gedser, Denmark, Baltic Sea, while en route from Klaipeda in Lithuania to New Orleans in the US.
Ro-ro passenger ferry Munic III ran aground during the morning of October 11th in the waters of Gilimanuk port on a western island of Bali, Indonesia, while manoeuvring in port for berthing. There were 71 passengers and crew on board, as well as several vehicles, including six trucks. Port authorities said that they would attempt refloating in the afternoon with high tide. No leaks or injuries were reported, while passengers and “unnecessary” crew have been evacuated.
